Campus crime statistics are located within the University’s Annual Security Reports. The statistics cover crimes reported to the University over the previous three years that occurred on our campuses, in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by the University and on public property within or immediately adjacent to and accessible from our campuses.
The U.S. Department of Education collects crime statistics from institutions each fall and makes the data available to the public on these websites: National Center for Education Statistics College Navigator and U.S. Department of Education Campus Safety and Security.
The University’s complete Campus Safety Policies (PDF) cover issues concerning crime prevention programs, crime reporting, notifications, alcohol and drug abuse prevention, dating violence, domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking awareness and prevention.
Campus Safety Policies were prepared to increase the University of Phoenix community's awareness of programs that were designed to prevent and report:
These policies include specific procedures on reporting crimes, definitions on what is a reportable crime and how awareness helps prevent crime.
We’ve included helpful resources, such as who to contact when reporting a crime and 800 numbers for alcohol and drug programs.
Individual policies can be found at the links below:
Reports of inaccuracies, questions regarding campus safety and concerns about noncompliance should be directed to the Clery Compliance Officer.
To learn the identity of registered sex offenders on or near a campus, or anywhere in the U.S., visit the sex offender databases at National Sex Offender Public Website. This information is collected by other agencies, and we do not and cannot guarantee the information is correct or complete. We provide this information provided to comply with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Crime Statistics Act (“Clery Act”), as amended, and for campus safety purposes only. It should not be used to intimidate, threaten or harass. Misuse of this information may result in prosecution.
Sex offenders who are required to register in a state must provide notice to each institution of higher education in that state at which the offender is employed or is a student. The Clery Compliance Officer or any Campus Security Authority (CSA) are designated to receive the information. Refer to the Safety and Security volume (PDF) of the Campus Safety Policies for a complete list of CSAs.
The University does not discriminate in its employment practices or in its educational programs or activities on the basis of sex or gender. Sexual harassment, including dating and domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking, are forms of sex discrimination, which are prohibited under Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 and by University policy.
Reports of misconduct, questions regarding Title IX, and concerns about noncompliance should be directed to the Title IX Coordinator:
