Sharon Golett is a seasoned technology instructor with over fifteen years of experience in computer science education. She excels in developing and delivering courses that enhance student learning and technology utilization.
Currently, as the Executive Director of Information Technology at Caddo Parish School Board, Ms Golett provided strategic leadership in instructional technology and managed IT programs ensuring the successful integration of academic and administrative systems.
Previously, as a Systems Programmer, Ms. Golett analyzed, designed, developed, and implemented various computer software applications. She re-engineered solution applications using programming languages such as C, C++, Java, and SQL. Sharon also conducted software training sessions for instructional and administrative staff, recommended and evaluated computer products and services, and led projects involving programmer analysts, operators, and technicians.
Ms. Golett is certified in multiple CompTIA disciplines and is a Cisco Certified Systems Instructor and Network Professional. She is also actively involved in professional communities such as the Association of Information Technology Professionals and the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi.
