PHOENIX, June 15, 2017 — University of Phoenix® College of Health Professions, in collaboration with the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce, announced the appointment of Executive Dean Doris Savron to the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce board of directors. Savron joins the board, made up of local business leaders, to support and fulfill a shared mission of supporting economic vitality and growth in the Greater Phoenix region.
“Partnering with local leaders whose experience spans industries is essential to understanding how we can best support those who live and work in the Greater Phoenix region,” said Doris Savron, executive dean for the University of Phoenix College of Health Professions. “By coming together and pooling our resources and knowledge, we have the opportunity to impact measurable, positive economic growth, and I look forward to the opportunity to work toward this important mission with my fellow board members.”
In her role, Savron will work with the board to focus on growing the Greater Phoenix region economy from within through the efforts of Phoenix Forward, the Chamber’s collaborative economic development initiative. She will also provide insight and guidance to the Chamber’s work in public policy, helping to grow the regional talent pool and support local businesses.
