How can I get help logging into my account?
If you’re having trouble logging into your Professional Development account, try the following options:
Did you use one of the single sign-on (SSO) options to create your account?
If you created your account with an SSO option like University of Phoenix, Google or LinkedIn, you’ll need to select that option to log into your account.
Are you using the correct password?
If you’ve confirmed you’re using the right email and did not create your account with a SSO option, you may have the wrong password. You can reset your password here.
Do you have an account?
You may not have created your Professional Development account yet. Being a University of Phoenix student or alum does not automatically mean you have a professional development account. Or, perhaps you’ve created an account as an individual learner but now wish to continue with a business account? Regardless, you can create a Professional Development account here.

What is a Skills Pathway and what are the different types?
A **Skills Pathway **is a series of skills that can be learned over a period of time.
**Prebuilt Pathway: **A series of two or more existing skill modules that’s ready to launch today.
- Training Pathway: A series of two or more one-hour skill modules that does not prepare employees for a certification exam or help them earn recertification credits.
- Certification Pathway: Completing this Prebuilt Pathway can help employees prepare for a third-party certification exam.
- Recertification Pathway: Completing this Prebuilt Pathway can help employees earn recertification credits for a specific agency such as SHRM® and HRCI®.
Tailored Skills Pathway: Select multiple existing skill modules to create this Pathway. Skill modules and assessments can be modified slightly to accommodate the needs of your business.
Custom Skills Pathway: Our team will build completely new skill modules and assessments for your business and workforce.
What's it like learning with Professional Development?
Professional Development is 100% online, self-paced and self-directed. Our learning is specifically made for busy adult lives so skills can be accessed anytime, anywhere. Our learning is not instructor-led and includes materials such as tools, worksheets, and videos (in English). Each premade Skills Pathway is designed to take approximately 30 hours to complete, and some individual skills can be completed in about one hour.
Each premade Skills Pathways contains:
- Four to five skills.
- Assessments to test learning comprehension with no limit on how many times an assessment can be attempted.
- Publicly available curated resources.
Does Professional Development offer university or college credits?
No. University of Phoenix Professional Development is non-degree, noncredit bearing, and does not carry institutional or programmatic accreditation. Professional Development skills are stand-alone and are not part of any UOPX certificate, continuing education, degree or other program.
Is financial aid available?
No. Federal funds/financial aid or loans cannot be used to pay for a Professional Development learning.
Does the purchase of a Professional Development learning mean my employees are University of Phoenix students?
No. Professional Development users are not University of Phoenix students. If you are interested in enrolling employees as University of Phoenix students, which provides access to the following services, please contact an enrollment representative at (844) 937-8679.

Does completing a Professional Development skill mean my employees are University of Phoenix alums?
