The Self-Awareness Training Pathway offers learners skills to help elevate their performance and leadership capabilities. The Developing Employee Self-Awareness skill module emphasizes the importance of self-awareness in communication, teamwork and job satisfaction. Learners will delve into the components and benefits of self-awareness in the workplace, learning to evaluate personal strengths and areas for development. They will define self-awareness, understand its significance in both personal and professional contexts and assess its impact on interpersonal relationships at work. Practical application includes using self-assessment tools to identify strengths and weaknesses, leading to the creation of a personalized development plan.

The Reading and Leading the Room skill module includes techniques and strategies for enhancing leadership presence and guiding discussions with confidence. Participants can learn how to interpret verbal and non-verbal cues to improve leadership effectiveness and implement strategies to influence and inspire team members. Discover how to identify key cues that indicate team sentiment, analyze their impact on team dynamics and performance and develop skills for effective communication. By the end, learners should be able to create a plan to foster a supportive and high-performing team culture.

There are no prerequisites. All levels and skill sets are welcome to take the Self-Awareness non-college-credit Training Pathway.

Self-Awareness has two one-hour skill modules comprised of subjects like Reading and Leading the Room. Each module has a knowledge check and skill assessment where employees can demonstrate what they’ve learned. You can expect this Skills Pathway to take about two hours, and all modules are non-credit, 100% online and self-paced.
