A master’s in management can also prepare you to become a business manager, general manager, operations manager and more.
A master’s in business management may be an asset for your professional career. The business acumen and interpersonal skills you’ll develop in a graduate management degree program can prepare you for managerial positions in every field. With a master’s in management, you can gain a broader base of business knowledge and have the potential to improve your marketability as a job candidate.

When it comes to choosing whether a Master of Business Administration (MBA) or a Master of Management is right for you, it all depends on where you’re at currently in your career and where you want to go.
If you recently graduated from a bachelor’s program, are looking to switch into a career in business or are interested in managerial opportunities within your current place of employment, a Master of Management may be a better fit for your goals. If you already have several years of experience and a background in business, then an MBA may be more suitable for you.
While the topics covered in the curriculum are similar, a Master of Management and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) cater to different types of people.
A master’s in management degree is ideal if you have a bachelor’s degree from any field or minimal professional experience. An MBA is ideal if you earned a business degree and have several years of experience in the corporate world. Both programs will help prepare you for opportunities in management.
Yes, Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) is available for certain courses in the Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Management (MM) programs. Currently there are three PLA options for the MBA and one PLA option for the MM. To learn more on how you can potentially save time and money in your MBA or MM program, please reach out to your Enrollment Representative.
