*Terms and Conditions

There must be an agreement in place between the University of Phoenix, Inc. (University) and Bright Horizons EdAssist Solutions (“Company”) whereby Company is acting as Client’s tuition assistance service provider (hereinafter “Agreement”) for current employees to receive the tuition benefits set forth below (hereinafter referred to as the “Benefits”).

Eligibility

To be eligible for the Benefits, employees must (i) be and remain employed with Client; and (ii) must maintain attendance with the University defined as not taking a break longer than 365 days (hereinafter “Participating Employees”).

Participating Employees who are new students and self-identify as a Client employee in the University’s student portal (or through any other method of verification the University may require) after the Agreement effective date will receive the benefits set forth below, so long as the Agreement is in effect and has not been terminated. For those Participating Employees who are currently enrolled and already self-identified with the University, the Benefits will apply to your next course and will not be applied retroactively.

The Benefits will apply to Participating Employees who are receiving the standard University tuition rate and cannot be combined with any Alumni or Associate Transfer tuition rates, competency-based programs such as the MBA-CB program or other competency-based programs the University may offer in its discretion, any other University offer or promotion or any other specific program exclusions set forth in the Academic Catalog. For Clarification, nothing contained herein is intended to prohibit Participating Employees to enroll in these programs or use of any Client tuition assistance toward the excluded items listed above.

Participating Employees are subject to the University's admission and academic policies and procedures.

Tuition Benefits

The University will waive the tuition of every sixth (6th) course for Participating Employees who meet the following criteria:

  • Enroll or be enrolled into a University degree program, certificate program, or credit bearing course after the Agreement is executed;
  • Identify as an employee of Client with the University in the University’s student portal or other method provided by the University;
  • Maintain employment with Client;
  • Successfully start and complete five (5) courses as defined in the Academic Catalog after the effective date of the Agreement; and
  • Enroll and post attendance (as defined in the University Academic Catalog) in the sixth (6th) course within a 365-day period from the first date of attendance in the Participating Employee’s first course after the effective date of the Agreement.

Once a Participating Employee receives the 6th course tuition waiver, the 365-day period will start again from the Participating Employee’s first date of attendance in the next course.

If the Participating Employee does not achieve the 6th course tuition waiver within the initial 365-day period, the 365- day period will commence again from the Participating Employee’s first date of attendance in the first course after the initial 365-day period expired.

The tuition waiver applies only to the 6th course regardless if the Participating Employee completes the course.

If Participating Employee is enrolled in a University bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral program prior to the effective date of the Agreement, the benefits set forth herein will apply after the effective date of the Agreement, upon self-identification by the student to the University and upon enrollment in the next course and will not be applied retroactively. Courses taken prior to the effective date of the Agreement will not apply towards the benefits.

Please note: For students using VA benefits, certification of a course solely for monthly housing allowance will use a month of benefit entitlement..

Term and Termination

If the Agreement is terminated Benefits will immediately cease and will no longer be available to Participating Employees. Participating Employees enrolled in the University as of the termination date will be responsible for payment of all fees and tuition costs (at the then current tuition rate) for their next course and the remainder of their program in accordance with University financial policies and procedures.
