Event features industry leaders discussing the role of artificial intelligence in fostering inclusive environments
University of Phoenix is pleased to announce its upcoming webinar, "Understanding AI's Influence on Accessibility and Inclusion," scheduled for May 16, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM MST. The event is part of a public series intended for educators, diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) practitioners, higher education leaders and administrators, employers, nonprofit organizations, government affiliates, and University of Phoenix faculty, staff, students, and alumni across the globe.
"We are pleased to welcome an esteemed group of leaders to share their insights on the intersection of AI and accessibility," shares Saray Lopez, MBA, director of Student Diversity & Inclusion at University of Phoenix. “By exploring AI's impact on accessibility, we aim to equip attendees with actionable strategies to leverage AI effectively, while also fostering a deeper understanding of its implications for individuals of all backgrounds and abilities."
The webinar will explore the significant role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in enhancing accessibility within workplaces and classrooms, and its broader implications for diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. Panelists will discuss AI's potential to transform educational and professional environments through personalized learning and remote work, while also addressing its capacity to challenge biases.
Moderated by Van L. Davis, chief strategy officer at WCET, the event will feature a distinguished panel of experts:

The discussion will be hosted by Tondra Richardson, MBA, director of Student Diversity & Inclusion and Saray Lopez, MBA, director, Student Diversity & Inclusion, both with the Office of Educational Equity (OEE) at University of Phoenix. The Educational Equity Webinar Series is part of a series of events with which the OEE engages aiming to foster cultural awareness, thought leadership and community alliances to promote and sustain educational equity and diversity initiatives.
