Research fellow
Jim Rice, DM/IST, MBA, MAPM, BSEE, BSB/IS is an alumni of the University of Phoenix, University of St Thomas, and the University of Minnesota. Dr. Jim resides in a suburb of the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul and teaches a variety of business and information technology topics for the College of Doctoral Studies in the DM program. He mentors doctoral students.
Professionally, Dr. Jim builds on more than 40 years of practitioner and leadership experience to lead the Advisory Services business for a $29B/year IT consulting, professional services, managed services, and systems integration business. He leads a team of experienced and certified consultants who partner with clients to envision, lead, and implement leading edge technologies that result in the enhancement of business processes and outcomes. Awards include recognition with an Exceptional Leadership Award from the University of Phoenix, School of Advanced Studies, in 2017. He has also published a number of articles on organizational change, knowledge management, work-life balance, and digital consumer confidence.
Dr. Jim is a volunteer peer reviewer for Emerald business, management, and strategy journals. Dr. Jim also serves as a member of the University of Phoenix Research Methodology Group to help students and alumni with questions they have related to proposing and conducting quantitative research.
