Dr. Robert King is a Philosophy Faculty member at the University of Phoenix. Over the years, King has been recognized for academic excellence and contributions to the field. Notably, King has received research grants from the National Endowment for the Humanities in 2010 and 2011, and the University of Phoenix in 2016. Additionally, King has been awarded seventeen research honoraria from 2009 to the present and received the Excellence in Publishing Award from the University of Phoenix in 2012. King's academic portfolio includes five peer-reviewed journal articles and thirty academic presentations. King has also presented at conferences, including as a keynote speaker at Barry University in 2012 and St. Leo University in 2020, and at prestigious institutions such as Harvard University in 2016 and 2018, and in Tokyo, Japan, in 2017.
King's educational background is equally impressive. King earned an Ed.S. from Walden University (Sylvan) in 2012. King pursued Ph.D. studies (abd) in Ethics and History at the University of Notre Dame from 2000 to 2003. King also holds a Th.M. in Ethics and History from Duke University, attained in 2000, and an M.Div. from Duke University, earned in 1997. Additionally, King holds a B.A. in Religion from Davidson College, completed in 1994.
